Prelude

In the womb, it waits for you to remember

and we are pleading with the world to remember

we are fire

we are song,  

we are ceremony,

 we are water

we are the lands beneath our feet

we are the hands cradling the hearts of many.

 ~ Authorship of this work is questionable... guided by invisible threads- moist mycelium along with a community of plants, gut biomes, humans, dogs, lands, waters, and ancestors.  

~ Our deepest honour and respect to the Indigenous peoples who lived and understood all community & ecology before us. Thank you for your teachings and continuance, we have much to learn. 

 ~  We support visibility, priority, restoration and recompense to all oppressed and colonized peoples and environments.  We are dedicated to a future of relational cultural, spiritual & ecological respect and reciprocity.

  Thank you to all for sowing, watering & caring for these seeds. Thank you for bringing a sense of wholeness to our communal and personal realities. For the deepening of self/land; for one intimate dialogue after another.  

This project began with a commitment to Land, Water & in-between spaces, becoming commitment in and of itself for projects to come.  A commitment to the collision of worlds, mediums, disciplines, art practices, and inward/outward spaces. Entangling motifs. Creating and commemorating webs of story. Being guided by lived stories, and learning how to move with land.  These works are intended to challenge viewers to embody new ways of being with ritual, place, self and renewal. They channel the interconnectedness, animacy & intimacy of place. Art & Land as reciprocity- as one. 

There will be more resonating and responding consecrated through living fibers, sculptural vows, a paradox of materiality and a ritualized feast to commemorate the work, grow the tendrils, and feed all who made it happen.
